This episode features the famous Star Trek "Alternate Universe" parody sketches, in which Dr. Forrester sends up some "matter transference device" during an "Ion storm" and suddenly Servo and Gypsy find themselves in Deep 13 with the EVIL versions of Mike & Crow while Dr. F and TV's Frank are on the bridge of the SOL.

And YES, we finally get to see Trace and Frank sit in the theater for a change and crack jokes for an entire film segment.

Meanwhile, back in OUR universe, Normal Mike and Crow find themselves stuck with the EVIL Tom Servo, who's basically really evil only in the verbal sense and quiets down immediately when he realizes "oh, you guys watch cowboy movies?" and settles right into his normal riffing routine.

Evil Gypsy tries to suduce Evil Tom into killing Normal Mike and taking over the SOL, but Mike and Crow figure out how to get things back to normal with a little help from Mike's "Alternate Universe Handbook" that he had left over from college...well, vo-tech actually.

Really classic episode.

the movie itself? A sub-average cowboy film involving evil ranch hands, a pretty much useless sheriff, two cowgirls and their competing for the affections of drifter/would be stage coach robber turned meddling interloper Duke...NO, not THAT "Duke," we should be so lucky...

Oh, and lots of horse riding shots...lots and lots.
